Bike The Bay
Looking for a wonderful way to spend a day bayside in San Diego? Come on out for the annual Bike the Bay community bike ride. It’s not a race and it may be your only opportunity to ride a bike on the Coronado Bay Bridge.
The ride entails a relatively flat, non-competitive 25 mile ride and is a great community event. The Bike the Bay route passes through the cities of San Diego, Coronado, Imperial Beach, Chula Vista and National City and finishes in downtown San Diego.
Bike the Bay is a family friendly event, but no single riders under the age of 12 are allowed for safety reasons and no bicycle trailers either. Have the little ones (kids age 11 and under) meet at the rides end in Marina Embarcadero Park South where there will be a festival with entertainment, food and beverages and a Karl Strausse Beer Garden!
San Diego Bike Ride
Bike the Bay in San Diego is August 28th this year and the ride begins promptly at 6:30am. The race costs $52 if you belong to the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition or $57 if you are not a member. You can form teams or go solo. For information on registration, please go here.
