Strata San Diego high-rise had its grand opening this evening. The property is a luxury rental building that is located between 9th and 10th avenues and Market and Island.  Strata is a welcome addition to the East Village and is in close proximity to The Mark Condos San Diego as well as M2-I condos San Diego.

I toured the Strata building with one of the leasing agents, Jessika Mitchell, who was very helpful. The amenities at Strata San Diego include a beautiful lobby with concierge, a conference room with 60” LCD that can be hooked up to a laptop and telephone conferencing. There is an amenity room with full kitchen, lounge with multiple flat screen TV’s and a theater room that is by far the BEST theater room in Downtown San Diego. It is larger and has more seating than the theater rooms at Pinnacle San Diego, Icon San Diego and even the new Bayside San Diego Condos.

Up on the third floor, there is a full gym with men’s and women’s restrooms. Outside, they have a swimming pool, Jacuzzi and BBQ area. They are also pet friendly and have a grassy area in the courtyard where dogs can play. I was very impressed by the overall quality of the common areas, hallways and lobby.

Strata San Diego residences range in price from $2800 for a one bedroom plus den all the way up to $8000 for the penthouse suites. The residences that I toured were very nice and are actually more elegant than many of the downtown San Diego Condos. The first thing that caught my eye is that the ceiling heights at Strata San Diego are 10 foot. It is amazing the difference in feel between 9 foot and 10 foot ceiling heights.

The finishes in the residences at Strata San Diego Rentals are of the finest in downtown. The floors are hardwood with designer carpet in the bedrooms and travertine in the bathrooms. The gourmet kitchens have rich granite countertops and European inspired cabinets. The kitchen layouts are catered towards entertaining and have fabulous layouts. The only weak point that I could find is that the cook tops are electric and not gas.

All Strata Rentals include one parking space and extra parking spaces can be rented for $150 per month. Pet’s are welcome at Strata San Diego as well, but there is a $30 per month rental charge and an extra deposit is required.

I toured a total of five Strata rental San Diego residences and they are all top-notch. I highly recommend this building for anybody that is not ready to buy Downtown San Diego Property.  If you are interested in renting a home a Strata, please give us a call at 619-309-8011.
