Little Italy FESTA! 2011 in Downtown San Diego
It’s FESTA! time!! This Sunday, October 9, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. the streets of Little Italy in downtown San Diego will once again come alive for this awesome annual tradition.
Started 17 years ago, this is one of Little Italy’s best annual festivals. With amazing, delectable Italian cuisine, cooking demonstrations and contests – including the Pizza Tossing Competition with Filippi’s, Gesso Italiano chalk art painting, music on 3 stages (click here for entertainment schedule), an Italian Motorsports exhibit and more, it is sure to be a truly festive experience! And the kids will love it too as they enjoy chalk art for kids and a Kids Fun Zone with inflatables, face painting, balloon art and more! This is a great family outing!
Come hungry! There will be a variety of delicious Italian foods to try and the restaurants in Little Italy will also remain open during the FESTA! celebrations. There will also be a Beer & Wine Garden presented by Peroni, Blue Moon & Jacuzzi Family Vineyards.
This is a very popular event, drawing some 120,000 each year. Little Italy has limited parking available, but a Trolley stop is within close walking distance. I advise planning ahead with this information on parking and directions. Put on some comfy shoes for strolling the streets of Little Italy and be ready for a good time. Divertiti!
