Jimbo’s Naturally is coming to Downtown

San Diego Downtown residents have been asking for a Whole foods or Trader Joe’s in downtown, but local grocer Jim “Jimbo” Someck is bringing his locally based natural foods store to downtown San Diego’s Horton Plaza. 

Jimbo’s…Naturally will occupy 28,000 sq/ft on the second floor of the Mall.  Westfield, the mall operator, will be adding larger elevators to accommodate grocery carts and to ease shopper’s access between the store and it’s dedicated parking area on the 4th level of the malls G St parking structure.

Escalators outside of the store will feature a conveyor like system which will allow grocery carts to ride separately alongside shoppers on a parallel track between floors.  The store is set for completion in late 2013.

This health foods based approach will be a great fit for the health orriented residents in downtown.  Many downtown residents embrace a healthy lifestyle and will be happy to not have to get into their car to do their shopping.
