Roma Urban Market will make its long awaited debut this Sunday, October 1st. Yesterday evening, I was invited to a private preview event of the new market, hosted by Savina.

This 8,900 square foot shop is located at 555 W Beech St between Columbia and State St. What really stood out to me was all of the fresh food offerings that are going to be made daily on site. They will offer a bakery, a deli with meat and cheeses and even a triple deck pizza oven that you can do take out or eat right at the counter. Roma will also feature a cafe area serving fresh coffee in the morning that turns into a beer and wine bar at happy hour! Besides serving hot food to go,the market will be stocked with imported Italian foods as well as local San Diego beer, wine and spirits. You will definitely want to check this place out the next time you are downtown. With so many new and exciting things going on in Little Italy, now is a good time as ever to become a resident of Little Italy instead of a visitor!
