It’s Official…Manchester Pacific Gateway Is Breaking Ground!

This world-class development will reshape San Diego’s waterfront!

After nearly 12 years of legal obstacles and difficulty securing financing, Manchester Pacific Gateway will officially be breaking ground this week. The $1.5 billion waterfront project in beautiful downtown San Diego has been an uphill battle since Doug Manchester signed the 99-year lease in 2006, but with all the obstacles behind him, the major development will begin construction. Through Manchester Financial funding with the assistance from some domestic equity partners, the three million square foot waterfront property that covers 8 blocks of San Diego’s downtown is projected to be completed by 2020. In order for this development to occur, Manchester agreed to include a new $165 million Navy headquarters building within Manchester Pacific Gateway. Along with the Navy headquarters, Manchester Pacific Gateway will also include 5-star resorts, class A office space, luxury retail shopping, fine dining, an open park, entertainment, cultural space and public parking. Now that financing has been secured and arranged, Manchester Pacific Gateway is able to finalize its future tenants. This incredible waterfront development will have a tremendous impact on the beauty and appeal of the downtown San Diego area.

Manchester Pacific Gateway Includes:

  • 17 story  – 3720,000 square foot Navy headquarters
  • 1,100 room convention hotel
  • 29 story office tower
  • 8 story office building
  • 6 story office tower
