San Diego Restaurant Week September 18-23, 2011 – Only 2 days Left

Did you forget to book your San Diego Restaurant Week reservation? If you did, you’re in luck – it’s not over yet! You can still take advantage of this awesome culinary opportunity today (September 22) and tomorrow (September 23, 2011)!

An exciting new addition to this year’s Restaurant Week is the prix fixe Lunch menu, which offers a 2-course lunch for $10, $15 or $20 depending on the restaurant. The traditional 3-course prix fixe dinner menu, which offers meals at $20, $30 or $40 depending on the restaurant, is available as always.

This is a fantastic opportunity to try a new restaurant you’ve been curious about, or visit a favorite and take advantage of a special menu at a great price! My husband and I love Restaurant Week! We typically go to a new restaurant we have been wanting to try and usually also go to a favorite, null, which incidentally, offers an extended prix fixe menu with 8 appetizers/salads, 12 entrees and 6 desserts to choose from!

Some hot spots downtown for dinner in the $40 category include: BICE Ristorante, Cowboy Star, Nobu and Oceanaire, as well as the big steakhouses (Donovan’s, Fleming’s, Morton’s, Ruth Chris and The Palm). In the $30 category downtown check out Café Chloe, Zanzibar Café, The Fleetwood and El Vitral, and at the $20 price Knotty Barrel and ToasT Enoteca & Cucina.

If you head up the hill into the Banker’s Hill and Balboa Park area, Barrio Star, CUCINA Urbana and Bertrand at Mister A’s are worth a visit! Restaurant Week has participating restaurants all over San Diego county!

With an improved search device, the Restaurant Week website is super easy to navigate. So go check out all of the participating restaurants and their menus and make your reservation today! And if you aren’t able to take advantage of it in the next two days, there’s always Restaurant Week in the winter (usually the end of January).
