The building was remodeled in 2002 including the residential corridors, exercise equipment, and lighting in the exercise facility and elevators were replaced in 2016.  The HOA added earthquake insurance and preventative water program with water detection to minimize any possible accidents.  We’ve been told by builders that Meridian is one of the best built towers in San Diego and it’s cost prohibitive to build a structure in the same manner today (steal beam construction with concrete poured in pan).
