Park Place Condo Downtown San Diego

Less than $600,000 for Park Place San Diego???

Park Place is a Downtown San Diego icon.  After completing the hugely successful Horizon’s condominiums  (at the corner of  1st and Market), Bosa Development built Park Place Condos at a key crossroads of downtown San Diego.

Located at the corner of  Harbor Drive and Kettner Boulevard, San Diego Park Place Condos is across from the Manchester Grand Hyatt and nearly adjacent to San Diego’s Seaport Village.  It is an ideal location to stroll the Embarcadero or Marina.

The distinctive and beautiful white facade of Park Place is just one of the elements that set its architecture apart from other Downtown San Diego Condo towers.  Its multiple pods and terraces create unique view corridors from many homes.

700 West Harbor Drive #1802

Yesterday I was scratching my head in disbelief as one of San Diego Park Place’s most desirable floorplans was listed at $599,000!  And it’s on the 18th floor!  Please, click the link below to view the listing photographs for this beautiful property:

This 1,376 sf floorplan is a perfect San Diego home–either as a primary residence or second home.  It features beautiful Brazilian cherry floors, a fabulous kitchen, split bedrooms and comfortable outdoor patios.  Most and best though, it is a home at Park Place in San Diego, on the 18th floor for under $600,000.

Buying a Short Sale in Downtown San Diego

We have recently noted in several blogs that buying a short sale or foreclosure is a great chance to buy a pricing anomoly in the Downtown San Diego condo market.  This condo definitely fits that description.

What you should know about buying short sales and foreclosures:

  • Do your homework–know which buildings and neighborhoods you are most interested in.  Have a sense of values and define your parameters for what is a “great buy”
  • Be urgent–if a property comes to the market that fits, move quickly.  There are often multiple offers and they are sold very quickly
  • Have everything you need in place to move forward–pre-approval letters are essential, if you’re a cash buyer you must have proof of funds

In a multiple offer scenario cash buyers often receive a small discount from the bank or asset manager.  But this doesn’t mean that buyers who require financing are excluded.  Having your pre-approval and being ready to act often earns the deal.

If Park Place #1802 interests you, please call me immediately.  It’s a fabulous opportunity.  To talk about this or other Downtown San Diego Condos call:  858.432.3203.
