‘Harbor Breakfast’- New Little Italy Restaurant
Fresh comfort food featuring all of your breakfast favorites will be offered by Harbor Breakfast– slated to open next month at the corner of Beech and India Streets in Little Italy. Ted Smith and Eddie Hernandez have teamed up to bring the nieghborhood an old-fashioned breakfast house featuring delicious omeletes, waffles, & pancakes-all paired with a refreshing mimosa if it pleases you.
The restaurant will be open from 7am to 3pm every day and lunch will feature french-dipped and cornedbeef sandwiches and meatloaf. There will be plenty of seats and the restaurant will acomodate 35 guests inside, 16 outside along Beech St., and 20 more outside on India St.
Eddie and Ted will utilize locally-grown produce- organic when possible, and plan to eventually grow their own veggies on the roof.
The building previously housed Harbor Marine Supply. It was build in 1887 and is the oldest continually-operating wood building in San Diego.
Little Italy continues to be the “neighborhood of choice” for San Diegans near and far. And, a delightful new “walk-to” breakfast option will be perfect for us residents living in la Vita, Acquavista, Bayside, The Grande, and all the smaller boutique condos and apartments nearby.
