Labor Day Weekend 2011

The Largest Tall Ship Festival on the West Coast will transform the North Embarcadero into a nautical theme park on September 2nd-5th!

The event will commence with a bang on Thursday with a cannon fire salute,  kicking off the weekend’s festivities as over 20 tall vessels from all over the world will parade around San Diego Bay, finally ending up near the docks of the Maritime Museum.

The Festival of Sail is fun for the entire family!

There will be petting zoos, arts and craft exhibits and booths, tall ship cannon battles, and even pirate themed cruises around the bay.  Combined with great food and a variety of musical guests from jazz to 60’s surf bands, visitors and residents will enjoy what has become a San Diego cultural tradition on Downtown’s beautiful bayfront!   Click on the link for the complete Festival of Sail entertainment schedule.
